Agri Plant production short courses
Duration: 1 – 2 weeks
The purpose of Agri Plant Production Short Courses is as follows:
- •Manage, supervisors and working teams, performing the agricultural processes as applicable to plant production in taking responsibility for the quality and quantity of outputs.
- •Take complete responsibility for her/his own actions and also take responsibility for supervising others at lower levels within an Animal Production context under broad guidance and evaluation.
- •Take responsible decisions within a wide range based on a sound understanding of the basic principles of agri-business and good agricultural practices.
- •Able to oversee the implementation of a wide range of procedures and will be able to ensure the relevant safety, quality, hygiene and technical standards as applicable within the industry.
- • Positioned to progress towards higher levels of Management and Technical production practices as defined by qualifications at the next level.
- • Enabled to actively participate in the Primary Agricultural Sector through the production of quality agricultural products, enhancing the overall agricultural process and gain opportunities to access local, national and international agricultural markets.

A tender is an invitation to bid for providing a service or product at a specified price. The tender environment is extremely competitive and an in-depth knowledge of tender procedures is imperative for any person or enterprise wishing to bid successfully. Tender documents completed incorrectly or that are incomplete will be dismissed from the process without the option of remediation. It is therefore critically important to understand exactly what is expected from you as a bidder and you must completely adhere to the tender requirements. This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to win tenders by:
- correctly evaluating and pre-qualifying your business’s capacity to comply to the specifications;
- subcontracting or entering into a joint venture should that be required;
- completing the tender documents with 100% accuracy and be realistic regarding market related prices and implementing profit mark-up.
